News flash! Our principal, Mr. Brewer has been selected as the OMEGA U Principal of the Year for school year 2019 – 2020.  He will receive his award at the OMEGA U Black History Month Program on Saturday, February 1, 2020.  The program will be held at the FREEDOM HIGH SCHOOL and begins at 10:00 am.  Additionally, after weeks of hard work and dedicated practice, the FLMS Step Team will entertain by giving their first official performance at the program.  ALL FLMS Staff, Students and Parents are invited to attend.

Omega U is a mentoring program for selected male FLMS students sponsored by the Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in partnership with the administration of Fred M. Lynn Middle School.

We aim to help our mentees make choices that will positively affect them in the present and prepare them for the future.

 - OMEGA U Saturday - first Saturday of each month from 10 am - 12 pm
Activities promoting communication, teamwork, and confidence
Field trips, career/vocational exposure, and STEM activities
Character and team-building activities

- Community Service 
Omega U believes it is important for mentees to give back in various ways
Some projects will be done with sponsoring organization
Some projects will be student-planned, led and executed

- Monitoring, Retention, and Resources
Monitor students' grades and behavior through report cards and progress reports
Provides reachback/support for mentees as they go on to high school and beyond
